It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Starside Pediatrics will be closing, with Dr. Alison Hsu and Dr. Diana Nguyen moving to join Cook Children’s Pediatrics at Parkwood, effective
We hope that you will follow us to Cook Children’s Pediatrics at Parkwood, located at 6930 Parkwood Boulevard, Frisco, TX 75034, telephone (945) 204-7940. We will be joining Dr. Karen Evans at this practice, and the majority of our Starside staff will also be making the move to the new practice.
Our goal is that any appointments already scheduled at Starside Pediatrics for after April 21 join us at our new office, and we will keep the same date and time if at all possible. We will contact you to discuss if a change is needed. Cook Children’s Physician Network is an In-Network provider with all major insurance plans. We will unfortunately no longer accept most Marketplace/Exchange plans. For a complete list, please visit https://www.cookchildrens.org/patients-families/billing-insurance/insurance-plans/. We have to reapply to those plans as part of our change, so you may have received a letter from your insurance stating we are no longer in-network, but please call the office to discuss if you have any questions as this is likely not the case. You may also do a provider search on your insurance website for Dr. Karen Evans to see if she is a covered provider as Dr. Hsu and Dr. Nguyen will be on the same plans but may not yet be in their provider search.
If you plan to continue with our office, you should not need to do anything as your appointments will be transferred over to the Cook Children’s system. You may of course seek medical care from another doctor. If you choose to see a different physician, you may request records from our office at no charge until June 1, 2025 by emailing starsidepediatrics@gmail.com. After June 1, 2025, records will be transferred to Morgan Records Management, LLC (the “Records Custodian”). The Records Custodian will continue to maintain your records in accordance with applicable confidentiality and security standards and with other applicable laws, depending upon applicable state and federal record retention requirements. Requests to the Records Custodian after June 1, 2025 should be directed to:
