At Starside Pediatrics, our philosophy is that every child is unique. What may work best for one child may not always work best for another.
Because parents know their child better than anyone else, we feel they are a vital and important part of any evaluation and treatment plan. While there are many standards of care, parents still need to feel involved in decision making processes in order to fully implement care for each child. We acknowledge that if a parent is unsure or uncomfortable with a plan of care, than it is difficult to follow through with recommendations.
Therefore, we try to explain all diagnoses, treatments and options with parents at the time of the visit. We encourage active participation by the parents and welcome questions. We want each parent and child to leave the office feeling as though they helped determine the best plan of care from that day’s visit.
Our pediatricians are trained to care for patients from birth through adolescence. Their pediatric training prepared them to care for a wide range of conditions including annual and sports physicals, nutrition and growth, developmental milestones, asthma and allergies, common skin diseases such as acne and eczema, common illnesses, puberty issues, behavioral concerns and attention deficit disorder. Our doctors are also able to make referrals to pediatric subspecialists when a condition warrants more specialized care.
